Are parties at home the future? From Dinner parties to Backyard ‘Microweddings’

The spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across every corner of the earth has resulted in huge changes to our everyday lives and future plans. It has changed our everyday activities from working and learning, to commuting and, of course, eating!

Many of us continue to be in various states of lockdown, with particular patterns of social distancing in place. Currently in Ireland we cannot yet visit other peoples homes to socialise.

From May 18th we have been informed that up to four people from the same household can meet outdoors while continuing to follow a 2m distance (Beer in the garden anyone?)

From June 8th we may visit inside somone’s home for a short period of time whilst practicing social distancing.

From 29th June we hope that we will be able to have a small amount of people in our homes.

From July 20th we will be allowed to have small dinner parties, weddings and other parties with limited number of guests.

From August 10 we should be able to enjoy larger events and parties.

All of these dates are part of the government’s roadmap to reopening the country and are subject to change.

Remote dinner parties, quiz nights, bingo, talent competitions and many more have become the norm now on a Saturday evening. We have even been doing a weekly cooking class with our family and friends and although I think talent competitions and quiz nights might not continue to be a mainstay in our lives I do believe that parties at home will.

From small dinner parties with a limited number of friend to celebrate a 60th you were planning on having in the local pub to your wedding which now has to be changed or postponed It could mean that a caterted party at home is for you It just so happens that we specialise in smaller events and elopments!

So If you are looking for a fuss free alternative to what you though you are going to have we will take care of the rest!

Drop us an email and we will be delighted to help. info@trufflehoney.ie
